الوزير الزعوري يبحث مع مديرة “اليونيسف” الجديدة بعدن سبل تعزيز التعاون في مجالات حماية الطفولة

استقبل معالي وزير الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل، الدكتور محمد سعيد الزعوري، صباح اليوم في مكتبه بالعاصمة عدن، الدكتورة سحر حجازي، المديرة الجديدة لمكتب منظمة الأمم المتحدة للطفولة (اليونيسف) في العاصمة عدن.

وفي مستهل اللقاء، رحّب الوزير الزعوري بالدكتورة حجازي، متمنياً لها التوفيق في مهامها الجديدة، ومشيداً بدور “اليونيسف” كشريك فاعل في دعم جهود الوزارة في مجالات حماية الطفولة وتعزيز البرامج الاجتماعية.

وأكد الوزير الزعوري على أهمية تعزيز الشراكة القائمة بين الوزارة ومكتب “اليونيسف” في العاصمة عدن، مشيرًا إلى النجاحات المشتركة التي تحققت في إعداد وتنفيذ العديد من المشاريع، من أبرزها الإطار الاستراتيجي للحماية الاجتماعية وخطة حماية الطفل، وغيرها من البرامج التي تسهم في دعم التنمية الإنسانية في البلاد.

من جانبها، عبّرت الدكتورة سحر حجازي عن شكرها وتقديرها لمعالي الوزير الزعوري على حفاوة الاستقبال، مؤكدة التزام مكتب “اليونيسف” في عدن بمواصلة التعاون الوثيق مع الوزارة لتحقيق نتائج ملموسة لصالح الأطفال، وتطوير برامج الحماية الاجتماعية في اليمن.

ويأتي هذا اللقاء في إطار الجهود المشتركة بين الوزارة و اليونيسف لتفعيل البرامج التنموية والإنسانية، وتعزيز بيئة آمنة ومستدامة للأطفال في مختلف المحافظات.

Minister Al-Zouari Discusses with New UNICEF Director in Aden Ways to Strengthen Cooperation in Child Protection

His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zouari, received this morning in his office in the capital Aden, Dr. Sahar Hejazi, the newly appointed Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) office in Aden.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Al-Zouari welcomed Dr. Hejazi, wishing her success in her new role and commending UNICEF’s role as an active partner in supporting the Ministry’s efforts in the areas of child protection and the promotion of social programs.

Minister Al-Zouari emphasized the importance of strengthening the existing partnership between the Ministry and UNICEF’s office in Aden, highlighting the joint achievements in the development and implementation of various projects. Among the most notable are the Strategic Framework for Social Protection and the Child Protection Plan, along with other programs contributing to the country’s human development.

For her part, Dr. Sahar Hejazi expressed her gratitude and appreciation to Minister Al-Zouari for the warm welcome, affirming the commitment of UNICEF’s Aden office to continue its close cooperation with the Ministry in order to achieve tangible results for children and to develop social protection programs in Yemen.

This meeting comes within the framework of the joint efforts between the Ministry and UNICEF to activate development and humanitarian programs and to promote a safe and sustainable environment for children across the various governorates.
